Chris Jericho is known for his amazing skills on the microphone. The AEW Superstar is capable of delivering some of the best promos you’ll ever see, and he has been doing it for the last twenty years.

What you don’t know is that Y2J has quite the mouth on him outside the ring as well. I would like to take you back to the time when Jericho had a huge verbal fight with a fan out in the streets of New York City.

“F–k off. Leave me,” said Jericho to the fan as he tried to move away from the situation.

Jericho had been attending the tribute show of his close friend and fellow Musician David Z, who had tragically passed away the previous week due to a bus accident.

Chris Jericho stood against a wall outside Irving Plaza where the show was held and was spotted by fans. The former WWE Superstar agreed to sign a few autographs and take a few pictures, but the crowd soon got too overwhelming for Jericho.

He stopped taking autographs and lashed out at a particularly pushy fan. Losing his temper, the fan struck back.

“I ain’t going anywhere,” replied the fan. “You get off my block! I’m from Atlanta and I run this!”

Jericho did not turn a deaf ear and continued the fight.

“Yeah, this is New York City, m***********, You’re from f****** Atlanta,” shouted Jericho.

“I wanted to tell you congratulations,” said the fan, explaining how Jericho’s reaction was not justified.

“F*** your ass,” replied Jericho, turning away from the fan.

Chris Jericho didn’t get physical with the fan

The fan only got more hostile and hurled abuses at Y2J. Many of the other bystanders took the fan’s side. One man even took his shirt off, attempting to provoke a fight. Thankfully, Jericho maintained his resolve and looked the other way.

“David Z was a good friend of mine and I was mentally and emotionally shattered after paying tribute to him and essentially saying goodbye to him Friday night,” says Jericho.

“I was not in a good state of mind at that time and instead of ignoring a pushy fan which is what I would usually do, I snapped. My apologies to all involved and God bless David Z,” concluded Jericho.
