Roman Reigns has certainly come a long way in the ten-year challenge. Back in 2010, he was just a rookie and now he’s the face of the company.
Speaking of the 10-year challenge, let’s take a trip down memory lane to remember Reigns’ first match in the WWE Universe.
NXT was still in the building stages but had some pretty good talents coming in. Among these new recruits was the big man himself.

As a new addition, Reigns was already hyped up as a star to be. His first opponent in the ring was CJ Parker, who was another recruit like Reigns.
If you think that Reigns was some guy with a weird haircut and a thin built, you are highly mistaken. Reigns looked exactly like he looks now!
Roman Reigns was the top-dog from the very beginning
He looked as if he could be in the main roster already. Reigns had different moves back then, like a modified power slam as a finisher. However, he fought with the same swagger as he does today.
Nothing’s really changed about him. He dominated that entire match against Parker and ended up walking away without so much as breaking a sweat.
Back then, even the commentators claimed that there was something different about him, that he had a star-like aura about him.
Roman Reigns was a man talked about from the very beginning. When he walked down the ramp to the ring that night, the entire crowd had their eyes fixed on him, like a lion in winter.
He walked out smiling as if he had just enjoyed himself and was ready for more. That night was just the beginning, the foundations of an empire.
Since then, Reigns has blasted through the main roster and become the top dog. Joining the SHIELD and using the teamwork to creates ripples in the main roster at first, Reigns then went on to cement his own identity.

He soon became the face of WWE, replacing John Cena. If that wasn’t a fairytale enough, he even beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania!
He is only the second superstar in history after Brock Lesnar to achieve this feat. His domination and unpredictability in the ring have made him a force to reckon with.
Reigns still awaits a career-defining match and is all set to have a major storyline thrown his way. WWE may give him what he wants, adding more color to an already illustrious career.
