The first-ever Stone Cold Steve Austin Stunner!

As we all know, there’s always a first-time for everything, including the Stunner. The ‘Texas Rattlesnake‘ first hit the move in a King of the Ring Quarter Final match against Savio Vega. In fact, he defeated Vega with that very move!

If we look at the move closely, he didn’t really execute it the way he eventually did. There was no kick in the gut followed by a stunner. Instead, it was more of a sitting cutter. Either way, it served its purpose and gave him wins against the top stars in WWE.

The Stone Cold Stunner wasn’t Austin’s brainchild. In fact, it was Michael ‘P.S.’ Hayes who came up with the move when Austin was looking for a new finisher in his arsenal. The WWE Hall of Famer has revealed he wanted a move that would be easy to execute on any opponent, but would also be extremely fatal and that’s what he got.

Austin’s Stunner has taken down the biggest stars in the business, even The Undertaker! Yes, the ‘Deadman’ lost clean as a whistle to Austin after getting hit with the Stunner.

Mind you, if we have to consider Taker’s clean losses then we’d end up with only a handful matches. And that is enough to ascertain the greatness and fatality of the Stone Cold Stunner.
