WATCH: When The Rock Took on R-Truth in a ‘Dream’ Match on WWE Raw

The Rock and John Cena faced The Miz and R-Truth in a dream tag team match at Survivor Series 2011. The match was an absolute hit among the audience, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the performance put up by the Superstars.

There was a particular moment in the match when The Rock and R-Truth were inside the ring. ‘The Brahma Bull’ tried to attack Truth, but the latter held the ropes, put his legs in the air, and avoided Rock altogether.

Following this, Rock tried to attack Truth with a punch, but R-Truth went down with a full-split. This left The Rock confused, and the crowd went berserk.

The match was a blend of chaos and comic. Even though Cena and Rock secured the victory, it was the overall match which made a huge impact on the audience.

Though R-Truth and The Miz did not win, the fact that they put up a performance which was at par with The Rock’s and John Cena’s was impressive. In fact, when the match was first announced, fans thought Miz and Truth would win. Few expected Cena and Rock to work together without letting their egos clash.

R-Truth revealed how Cena and The Rock reacted after the match

R-Truth revealed that after the match was over, all the Superstars were high-fiving each other without any egos.

“Everybody was high-fiving – no egos around! No egos at all, man. It was all gratitude, humbleness, respect, appreciation – we were all a team at the time, man.”

“To me, that was one of the highest pinnacles of my career. Just one of the best fulfilled moments where I can pat myself on the back and say I did it.”

In fact, The Miz and R-Truth did not know what to expect. Both of them had prepared for a full audience, but when they saw it, it overwhelmed them.

“I remember when me and Miz, we didn’t say nothing to each other walking through the hallway on the way to gorilla. We got in the ring, the smoke cleared and we could see Madison Square Garden was sold out. Packed out.”

Regardless of how the match turned out, The Miz and R-Truth showed the WWE Universe what they were capable of at Survivor Series.
