The Undertaker and Roman Reigns are two of WWE’s biggest superstars. While Taker ruled WWE for three decades, Reigns has emerged to be a top star in less than a decade now. These two superstars also squared off for ultimate supremacy at WrestleMania 33, and as we all know, Reigns walked out victorious.

However, their WrestleMania 33 match is one of the most criticized matches in WrestleMania history. Plus, it didn’t serve great purpose as fans still didn’t rally behind ‘The Big Dog.’ WWE had to do something to give Reigns a rub from Taker, and they did just that a few years later in 2019.

The Undertaker evens the odds alongside Roman Reigns on WWE Raw

On June 24, 2019 episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE booked Roman Reigns in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon. This match was booked despite Reigns defeating McIntyre a night earlier at Stomping Grounds PPV, and even at WrestleMania 35 a few months earlier.

Despite all this, the match was made official and as always Reigns stood up to the challenge. Although Shane O’Mac seemed hell bent on making things very difficult for Roman Reigns. He even changed the rules of the match and made no tags necessary. This meant Roman would have to fight both men at once.

Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre annihilated the former Universal Champion. They did everything possible to humiliate and hurt him. In fact, McIntyre connected with a Claymore and Shane O’Mac then taunted Reigns and connected with a spear of his own.

However, they weren’t done. McMahon picked up Reigns after the spear for the ‘Scottish Warrior’ to connect another Claymore kick. Luckily, before the duo could do further damage, the lights went on and the infamous gong was heard.

The lights came on and so did The Undertaker! The ‘Deadman‘ wasted little time and immediately delivered a chokeslam on Shane McMahon.

After that, The Undertaker set sights on McIntyre and sent him retreating outside the ring with a stiff right hand. He did the same with Shane. Only difference he clotheslined him.

As all of this went down, the crowd were absolutely nuts. The Undertaker looked revived and he stood in the ring with Reigns as the entire WWE Universe started buzzing. Eventually, this led to a tag team match at Extreme Rules 2019 which The Undertaker and Roman Reigns won.
