Before this week’s SmackDown went live, Big E sent his prayers to Rey Mysterio and revealed that he prayed for his health. Roman Reigns demolished Rey later that night in a Hell in a Cell Match for the Universal Championship.

It was a brutal match for Rey Mysterio against Roman Reigns, as the Tribal Chief dominated the match. Reigns was having great pleasure in bestowing brutality towards Rey. Big E, who knew the capabilities of Roman and what pain he could inflict on Rey, gave an interview backstage before the match even started. He shared his thoughts about the first Hell in a Cell match in WWE SmackDown history.

The former Tag team Champion said- “I dropped down this morning on my knees, and I prayed for him (Rey). He is a legend; I love him. He’s got a lot to offer in the ring. But I think we all should pray for him. For his health. We should make sure our local medical facility has room for him.. Just in case.”

The brutal Hell in a Cell match that followed
The main event of SmackDown, which featured Roman Reigns and Rey Mysterio, was a match that had brutality in abundance. The match had an unexpected beginning, as Rey was the aggressor. However, after being dominated for almost 10 minutes at the beginning of the match, Roman turned the tables on Mysterio. From that moment, there was no turning back for ‘The Head of the Table’, who unleashed his ferity upon Mysterio.

The match ended when Mysterio tapped out to Reigns, allowing the Tribal Chief to retain his Universal Championship.
After the match, Rey was seen having a great deal of pain because of the buffeting that he suffered. Big E, who already saw this coming, just knew how much of a danger Roman can be when he steps into the ring.
