Drew McIntyre and Sheamus had some excellent matches in 2020 leading up to Fastlane. The fans really enjoyed watching both men give it their all and then some for the glory. Although their match at Fastlane was well received by the fans, the former WWE Champion thinks that they could have done a better job.
During a recent episode of ‘The Masked Man Show‘, Drew McIntyre gave his thoughts on his match at Fastlane.

“Myself and Sheamus had a series of matches that didn’t get too much into our story. The best thing was our last match and the build-up video that really told our 20-year history, which was all a true story. We didn’t get into it as much as we could and probably should have, which means there is more time to do it down the line. I think it’d be cool for him and I to have significant time in front of a live crowd.
“You talk about big men slapping meat, Sheamus and I committed crimes on each other in the ring. I’ve been around for a while and been in a few fights in my life, but I promise no fight is close to myself vs. Sheamus in a wrestling match.” (H/t Fightful for transcriptions)
This shows McIntyre’s determination to provide fans with the topmost quality of entertainment. Both wrestlers have what it takes to deliver such a match and we have no doubt they will do so at every opportunity.

In the episode, McIntyre was asked about his potential SummerSlam opponent this year. He replied that for him, personally; he has heard the rumors of Cena and every other name, but he doesn’t know for sure some of the surprise names that might be there.
But before SummerSlam, ‘The Scottish Psychopath‘ has another hurdle to jump over, in the name of ‘The Almighty‘ Bobby Lashley. The added stipulation for McIntyre has made the matchup even juicier. Just in case you are unaware of the stipulation, let us spell it out for you. If McIntyre cannot win this Sunday at Hell in a Cell, then he will not be allowed to challenge for the WWE Championship till Bobby Lashley is champion.
