Ever since Brock Lesnar made his WWE return, he has been one of the biggest star attractions. He has been the main event of countless PPVs during his reign as the WWE champion. However, Lesnar lost his title to Drew McIntyre in the last Wrestlemania.

Drew was coming into the title fight with great momentum. It was believed that he would be the guy to dethrone the beast and so he did. However, it seems that move has cost WWE adversely as chairman, Vince McMahon claims that the recent drop in ratings of RAW is due to the absence of Brock Lesnar.

While all the major sporting organizations have stopped the action due to Coronavirus pandemic WWE has been one of the few that has continued to put on shows for the fans. Since these weekly events take place without an audience that might be one of the reasons for the drop in ratings. However, Vince does not agree with that notion. Vince said:

“We no longer have Brock Lesnar, but we have a new champion and a lot of new performers coming in. That’s the reason. [Raw] has suffered, but not necessarily because of the environment. It’s suffered because we bring in a lot of new talent and it takes a while to get new talent over. How you use those performers in this story or that story. I’m convinced the Raw ratings will bounce back considerably.”
