Roman Reigns took a sabbatical from WWE right before WrestleMania 36. He came back last month and within one week, he took away the Universal Title from Bray Wyatt. The heel Reigns, with Paul Heyman in his corner, is quickly establishing himself as the “Top Guy” of the company.

Is Roman Reigns making a new faction?

Recently, Paul Heyman started addressing Roman Reigns as the “Tribal Chief”. Fans speculated if a new ‘tribe’ or faction was on the rise with Reigns as the leader. Reigns tried to answer those queries.

“Boy, you put me and my cousins, the girls, Joe as well, just based off the lineage, that’s a tough group to dismantle. I mean, we just watched RETRIBUTION and The Hurt Business. We would squash them, all of them. You put them all together, we would squash them all,” Reigns said in a virtual fan meet.

The ‘Big Dog’ is referring to his Anoa’i family members, Jimmy and Jey Uso, Tamina, Naomi, and Nia Jax. Samoa Joe is not related to the reputed Anoa’i Family, but he is well-linked with the isle of Samoa and could be an honorary member. The Rock’s grandfather, Peter Maivia, was also an honorary member initially.

Roman Reigns also said, “I mean, they’re legitimate competitors, they are great athletes. But you put all of us together, with not only the fact that but we’re also hard-nosed competitors ourselves.

Anoa’i Family is known for its tag-teams. Many of them are in the WWE Hall of Fame, including Rikishi (father of Uso Twins), Sika (father of Reigns), Jimmy Snuka (father of Tamina), and Rocky Johnson (father of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson).

The idea of a tribe is certainly intriguing. Considering Roman Reigns’ “wreck everyone and leave” attitude, it would be great to see an Anoa’i entourage backing him up. Also, including family and siblings into storylines is a foolproof success method in WWE.

At Survivor Series, Retribution could face off against the possible tribe, which could represent generations of wrestlers in WWE.
