What is the WWE Golden Championship belt?

Over the past year, many celebrities have been seen with Snoop Dogg’s WWE Golden Championship belt. This was not designed by the WWE for the legendary rapper but a marketing gimmick. Designed after the WWE Universal Championship belt held by Roman Reigns, it had a special purpose. The belt aimed to bring more attention to the WWE in the lead-up to WrestleMania.

Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair originally gave the title to Snoop Dogg in 2023 during the promotion for WrestleMania 39. Since then, it has changed hands frequently. Social media has been flooded with images of different celebrities posing with the belt. Moreover, the belt has been seen in public events as well. This gave the belt a lore of its own, and tonight, it was seen back at WrestleMania XL. It also made an appearance at the Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. Over 20 celebrities have been seen posing with this belt.
