Former World Champion Randy Orton recently sat down for an interview with Logan Paul on his IMPAULSIVE podcast where he shared how close Lesnar was to injuring himself severely around two decades ago. This is what he said.

What happened on the first day of Brock Lesnar’s training at OVW?

Orton starts by describing the very first day ‘The Beast Incarnate’ came to OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) for his training. All the trainees started doing rope running drills. As a safety measure, they were supposed to hook the top rope and get the arm over that top rope. But Lesnar didn’t do so, which led him to get hurt.

He said, “I remember the day he [Lesnar] came [to OVW]. We were all like, ‘What the f**k?’”. He added, “Sure enough, that m*****f****r… he leapt out of the ring between the second and third rope, and took out like twenty metal chairs.”

Lesnar got up and laughed it off, acting like nothing happened. The impact didn’t affect him at all and he went on about his day. The incident could have easily turned out to be an accident, but ‘The Conqueror’ was lucky to not harm himself severely. This is what happened on the first day he attended his pro wrestling training.

Lesnar’s first day at OVW taring was also the first day he and ‘The Viper’ met. During the IMPAULSIVE podcast, Randy Orton revealed his initial thoughts when he first saw Lesnar. The moment Lesnar entered the warehouse, where the wrestlers were training, Orton was shocked to see the stature of Lesnar.

The 6 foot 3 inches of pound and flesh making his way to the training ring threw The Viper back completely. Lesnar has that effect on people. Though ‘The Beast’ and Orton had several matches, most of them were off camera, called dark matches.
