When & Where Is King of the Ring 2024 & Who Will Be in It?

After a jaw-dropping WrestleMania set down from the city of Philadelphia, World Wrestling Entertainment is gearing up to crown a new King & Queen from Saudi Arabia. The Live Event was originally supposed to take place in May 2023. But the plan had to be nixed and Night of Champions took its place. Finally, this year, WWE is on the verge of bringing back the tournament-based event. This will be the first King of the Ring event to air on traditional PPV since 2002. And here’s the date and venue to get you buckled up.

WWE gave out the date for the 2024 King of The Ring Tournament

On a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that the event will go on air on May 25 from an unspecified venue in the land of Saudi Arabia. Tonight, WWE officially reaffirmed the news on their Twitter handle.

We saw Xavier Woods get away with the King of the Ring title and Zelina Vega clinch the Queen’s Crown back in 2021. With a lot of contenders for this year’s King and Queen honor, the game is sure to be fierce.

Three superstars are locked to wrestle for men’s Tournament

A video promo declared that a tournament via a series of matches will be featured on WWE television every week with the finals to be descended in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, next month on the old-school PLE.

Following the announcement, Gunther stepped into the WWE ring for the very first time since dropping the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40 after a historic 666-day reign. After bragging about what value he added to the championship reign and thanking Sami Zayn for unloading the weight from his shoulder, “The Ring General” immediately jumped onto putting his name in for the King of the Ring tournament. Shortly after, the New Day interrupted Gunther, and the former King of the Ring, Xavier Woods, declared that he will compete to win the title a second time.

In a promo later in the night, Drew McIntyre called out CM Punk, costing him to go after the World Heavyweight Title. Shifting his focus, The Scotsman quickly announced that he will go after to win the King of the Ring tournament as well.

No contenders for the Queen of the Tournament have been announced so far.
