John Cena – the workhorse, recipient of most wins in WWE history

John Cena has been WWE’s torchbearer for a very long time. Although ‘The Champ’ has taken a back foot over the past few years, he hasn’t fully closed the door on his pro wrestling future. After all, the man with the most wins in WWE history won’t just fade away without a large farewell.

Either way, we’re not here to talk about Cena’s farewell. We’re here to talk about an unbelievable record that ‘The Champ’ holds. John Cena has the most wins in WWE history with 1731 wins out of 2180 matches! These are matches from WWE’s house shows, TV Tapings, PPV’s and even Dark Matches.

The ‘Doctor of Thuganomics’ made his WWE debut answering Kurt Angle’s open challenge on the June 27, 2002 episode of SmackDown. Since then, the man from West Newbury, MA, has not looked back once! Cena’s most productive year was 2011, where he wrestled 202 matches!

John Cena’s legacy is precious, and this record along with his 16 World Title wins will forever be cherished by the WWE Universe. There is no one quite like John Cena, and there never will be. However, if we’re talking about the most wins in WWE history, why not check the other four men in the Top 5 behind Cena?

The Undertaker stands at #2 with most wins in WWE history

The ‘Phenom’ Undertaker makes it at #2 behind Cena with the most wins. The ‘Deadman’ wrestled 2189 matches in his three-decade long WWE career and won 1694 from them. These 1694 wins also include his 27 victims at the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All!’

Now, if there is anyone who can come close to The Undertaker, it is his half-brother, Kane. The ‘Big Red Monster’ stands at #3 with 1486 wins out of 2811 matches.

Kane is followed by Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart at #4. ‘The Hitman’ has 1467 wins in 2149 matches! That number would’ve been even higher had Goldberg not broken his neck.

Last but not the least, the fifth spot in the Top 5 Wrestlers with most wins in WWE History is taken by the ‘Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels. HBK has 1234 wins from 1775 matches. We’re sure that number would’ve touched 1300 if he was still wrestling.
