Dwayne Johnson re-entered WWE after several years of retirement, only to join the management team. Johnson’s new position as a board member at the WWE parent company, TKO, would bring him several responsibilities, new powers, and benefits, too. But ever since his induction into the TKO board, fans have been wondering whether Johnson has now become the boss of his former CEO. If that were the case, it would have been a proud moment for fans of The Rock. However, the answer to this doubt is a bit complicated.

Dwayne Johnson may climb the corporate ladder in the future

For now, the reality is that DJ has not surpassed his former boss. The reason behind this is not that he lacks the qualities of a good leader but because McMahon was given the higher post, considering his former position at WWE and his experience with running the wrestling company.

Dwayne Johnson has recently joined TKO as the latest board member. The board of sports entertainment already consists of big names like Ari Emanuel and Mark Shapiro, who are the CEO and President of WME, respectively.

The board of directors has a total of 13 members. While Emanuel and Shapiro hold the same position in the TKO group as they do in Endeavor, Vince McMahon is the Executive Chairman of the group. So, while the former WWE CEO may not be the boss of everyone on the board of directors, his post is higher than The People’s Champion in the corporate hierarchy.

However, this doesn’t mean that DJ won’t ever get to have his spot or a spot higher than him. Considering Johnson’s stature in the business and entertainment field, he may find himself seated at a higher position in the TKO Group in the future.

Given his potential in the management team, Dwayne Johnson was praised by Vince McMahon during his induction into the team.
