Recently, Triple H allowed Shinsuke Nakamura to visit Japan to face The Great Muta, opening the long-closed forbidden doors. With the forbidden door now open, fans were looking forward to more such opportunities popping up.

AEW wrestler Chris Jericho came up with a mouth watering proposal of having a crossover between two of the biggest wrestling promotions in the USA. Speaking to Howie Mandell Chris Jericho opened up about the prospect of AEW vs WWE. Jericho said, “So WWE for years had the monopoly on the sport. And so my boss is Tony Khan. He was always a lifelong wrestling fanatic, and decided to start his own company. It’s always great to have competition.”
Y2J also suggested that AEW vs WWE would be like DC vs Marvel. He said, “It’d be like DC versus Marvel. It’s probably not going to happen.” However, as soon as this got on the internet, the fans were enchanted by the proposal. And started reacting to it.

WWE wouldn't gain anything in popularity, but let's be honest. Who wouldn't like to see a Reings VS Omega or a Young Bucks & Adam Cole vs The Club? Maybe and it refers to the quality of talent found in each Roster

Tony is too petty to allow this to work.

Nah I think HHH would be. Tony offered Billy to go to the DX Reunion and HHH said no. HHH has said he will do partnerships and stuff similar if they benefit both companies. WWE x AEW will only benefit AEW. Tony would most likely be down but HHH won’t

Unfortunately with WWE being Marvel they would win….by a good margin

Some fans were of the belief that this crossover would not benefit WWE, but will only benefit AEW.
It would benefit AEW more than it would WWE.

WWE would not be interested with the minor leagues

Anyone gonna tell him that DC and Marvel have crossed over a number of times?
— Jerel Flournoy (@BoondockSaintV1) November 18, 2022
It would be like that, WWE- The Avengers vs aew – Killer Moth and the Abramovici Twins
— Xander DiMera (@LonghornPhenom) November 17, 2022
AEW is the DC of wrestling
— Iv$ (@Ivo_Dz) November 18, 2022
They should do an Invasion PPV together. To be fair, just flip a coin to see who wins each match.

Chris Jericho signed up with AEW in 2019, and has been with them ever since. Jericho is also a WWE veteran and was with the company for a very long time. Him proposing this dream concept of AEW vs WWE, surely came as a surprise. Although improbable, fans would be wondering if any day it takes place with Triple H at the top right now.
