The latest report by reputed journalist Dave Meltzer stated that as per the latest situation right now, one of the biggest matches in WWE might be Cody Rhodes versus Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. However, as per the current situation, that match is not possible.

Meltzer further noted that the best outcome on the night one of WrestleMania XL is to have Rock and Reigns win, and Cody lose. While fans now have been waiting for nearly two years to see Cody Rhodes finish his story, Meltzer has a different opinion.

One of the biggest baby faces in the company right now, Cody Rhodes deserves his grand moment at WrestleMania XL. While Roman Reigns and The Rock can engage in a feud later down the road, the World Title is not a necessity there.

Whereas, Cody Rhodes needs to win the World Championship to finish his story. Speaking from a booking and storyline perspective, having Rhodes lose can be good for the long run but also severely hurt WWE’s current momentum.

However, the perfect outcome for that match could be Rock and Roman taking the W home. If Rhodes and Rollins lose, the title match the next night would become a ‘bloodline rules’ match. And, if Cody Rhodes can overcome all the odds, and secure the victory on night two of WrestleMania XL, it might cement his legacy as one of the greatest.
