Wrestler Dubbed ‘Freak of Nature’ by WWE Legend Once Proved Vince McMahon’s Prediction Wrong: “Backed Out of It”

WWE is filled with wrestlers with massive bodies. Everyone has their own set of strengths and weaknesses. One among them was a wrestler who joined the roaster in 2013. However, he didn’t make his debut on the NXT brand until 2017.

Unlike other wrestlers, his journey in this industry was quite different and filled with numerous ups and downs. Eventually, he requested his release from the roster in 2021.

A recent revelation by a senior WWE executive shed light on the reason behind him quitting wrestling. He believes that Vince McMahon has a significant role to play in this entire incident.

The reason disclosed during the release of Dylan Miley, aka Lars Sullivan, was his anxiety issues. The WWE star himself divulged that his release was upon his request and that he was now done with professional wrestling.

In the recent episode of Oh, You Didn’t Know? Podcast, The Road Dogg shared his views on Sullivan’s journey in the roster. He also emphasized his incredible physique and all expectations that come in handy when a wrestler has such a muscular body.

Not only that, but James even described his honest impression of Lars when he stepped into the industry. He thought of him as a good, respectful guy. 

Further, he reflected on his and McMahon’s expectations of the former wrestler. As he said, “And so I just thought oh, this guy is going to be somebody, Vince thought the same thing. I think it put too much pressure on the kid and he kind of backed out of it all. You know what I mean?”

His words are obvious enough to make one understand the pressure that Sullivan must have gone through to prove himself. It also shows the belief that the former chairperson of WWE had in the wrestler.

However, Lars couldn’t cope with this and soon requested his release from the promotion. 

Sullivan, a controversial figure

As per Road Dogg, he was sure enough that the American wrestler is gonna be somebody great in his career in wrestling. However, upon the revealing of his controversial online posts, his career trajectory comes to a halt.

His association with homosexual pornographic films with the name Mitch Bennett was a shocking fact that surfaced. 

Apart from this, The Freak was a controversial figure because of various reasons. One of which was the inappropriate comments made by him online.

However, he has performed on all three brands of the WWE. But his story also tells a lot about the pressure a wrestler goes through every day.
