Wrestling Veteran Expresses Gratitude After Calling Himself ‘The Undertaker of AEW’

The Undertaker has spent over three decades in professional wrestling and marked his footsteps in the WWE. Vince McMahon and the company introduced Taker at Survivor Series in 1990. And exactly after 30 years at Survivor Series 2020, The Phenom announced to the WWE Universe that it was time for him to let The Undertaker rest in peace.

There’s no other man in professional wrestling who matches the magnitude of The Undertaker. But earlier this year, former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho claimed how he sees himself in “The Undertaker” role in the AEW.

Taker and Jericho have spent almost the same time in the wrestling business. So what Chris Jericho meant was he would want to help younger talent grow and make a name for themselves.

WWE will honor the legacy of The Undertaker tonight in his hometown of Texas. Vince McMahon will induct The Deadman into the 2022 Class of Hall of Fame. This will be the biggest night of Taker’s life, as his life will come to a full circle.

So, ‘Le Champion’ Chris Jericho came forward to express his gratitude and respect towards The Phenom.

Jericho wrote, “TRUTH. The @undertaker IS and always WILL BE the man! I’m honored to have worked with him and to call him a friend. CONGRATS! #WWEHallOfFame @WWE.”

Former World Champion Jericho stated that there’s only one undertaker. He also appreciated spending time with The Phenom when he was a part of the WWE. Since the company will respect Taker tonight with the highest token in the WWE, Le Champion congratulated him on the Hall of Fame induction.

Will Le Champion call The Phenom boring once again?

When Chris Jericho started his wrestling career with the WWE, he once called The Phenom boring. On an episode of Monday Night Raw, the six-time WWE Champion Chris Jericho felt Taker was not doing a great job with the audience.

The Undertaker was delivering a promo to the WWE Universe, but Jericho interfered with Taker’s promo. So, he went up inside the ring and told The Undertaker that his promo was boring on national television. Le Champion was a rookie wrestler during this time, but Undertaker had spent a substantial amount with Vince McMahon’s company.

However, Chris Jericho realized he insulted The Phenom, and it was a bad idea to call Taker and his promo boring. Jericho also received a friendly warning from Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels during that time. Although, Undertaker and Jericho have buried the hatchet of this incident, and to this day, they laugh at it.

The Deadman in Texas will deliver a speech during the Hall of Fame ceremony. He has been preparing for the WWE Hall of Fame speech throughout this week. In addition, he will have many stories to tell to the WWE Universe. This night will be a long night for Taker.

Only time will tell if Chris Jericho would comment on The Undertaker’s speech and call him boring once again!
