WWE Announces Exciting Stipulation for Championship Match at Extreme Rules

After weeks of speculation, Cesaro and Nakamura have finally secured a match-up for the WWE Horror Show at Extreme Rules. They will get a shot at the tag team championships currently held by The New Day.

However, on this week’s episode of SmackDown, Cesaro and Big E fought each other for a very different reason, albeit equally important. The winning Superstar would earn for his team the right to pick the stipulation for the big match at Extreme Rules.

Cesaro would pick up the victory after a short but entertaining match-up.

Tables match set for WWE Extreme Rules

As was being indicated by the constant use of tables by the Swiss Cyborg and The Rockstar, the match at Extreme Rules will now be a tables match.

For the uninitiated, the first team to put their opponents through a table will emerge victorious. Needless to say, we can expect a match filled with some mind-boggling spots, considering the caliber of the competitors.

There is another purpose that a tables match fulfills. Because you are not pinned before losing, you can be protected even in defeat. WWE doesn’t want either of these teams to look weak even if they go on to lose.

It’s still difficult to understand if that offers any glimpse into the possible result of the match. To be very honest, Cesaro and Nakamura have been booked very strongly in the past few weeks and that’s the correct way to go.

For the entire feud to be concluded in a fruitful manner, they need to decimate The New Day. Big E and Kofi Kingston are way too strong when it comes to perception with the fans. Even if they are destroyed in a match, that isn’t really hurting their future prospects.

However, Cesaro and Nakamura are hanging by a straw in the WWE. Both of these are Superstars who have legitimate reasons to be upset with the company. Despite their limitless potential, they have been constantly overlooked by the creative.

After a long time, it looks like the stars are perfectly aligned for this unit. WWE needs to step on the gas pedal before it’s too late. These are two Superstars who would have no problem finding work if they decide to leave the company whenever their contract expires.

Right now, the WWE have built up a possible route for a career resurrection for them. A strong run with the titles followed by a well booked split in the team can work wonders for these two behemoths.
