WWE Announces Gauntlet Eliminator Match with Exciting Stipulation

Earlier tonight, WWE NXT’s general manager William Regal promised the fans two major announcements. With the constant rating battle with AEW, WWE is leaving no stones unturned to win.

WWE has major match announcements for NXT

Tonight’s announcements set the tone for the upcoming NXT TakeOver. The first announcement revealed the number one contender for NXT Champion Finn Balor.

Due to the lack of a strong contender despite a huge roster, Regal announced a new kind of  gauntlet match. It is rather a gauntlet match that meets the Royal Rumble crossover.

The match will start with two men in the ring. A new participant will enter every four minutes. The only way to win is by pinfall or submission and the last man standing will face Finn Balor at NXT TakeOver on October 4.

The participants’ list will be a surprise for the fans. Regal said there will be five participants, but the video showed there could be more than five.

The next match scheduled for next week will be a women’s battle royal match to determine the number one contender for Io Shirai’s NXT Women’s title. Anyone from the women’s division can win the match.

Finn Balor is currently in his second reign as the NXT Champion, whereas, Io Shirai is in her first reign as the women’s champion.
