No matter how much we criticize the WWE and its programming in the twenty first century, we can’t deny that all of us become marks when we see the company pulling off one of its Big four shows with jam-packed arenas.
That’s why, it was extremely sad for a professional wrestling fan to see WrestleMania take place without the fans, who are the life blood of the show. Unfortunately for us, the Coronavirus pandemic isn’t done giving us sad news yet.
In the latest press release from the WWE, it has been confirmed that WWE SummerSlam will not be taking place at the earlier scheduled location of TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

With it, the accompanying events like the NXT Takeover: XXX will also be moving out of the arena. However, that doesn’t mean that the events will not be taking place at all.
SummerSlam will still emanate but most likely, it will be from the Performance Center in Orlando. Similarly, the Takeover event will take place at the Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.
WWE thank Boston in their press releass
WWE was thankful to the city of Boston for making SummerSlam a sold-out event. However, owing to their inability in putting forward an event, all of the fans will be duly refunded
In coordination with our local partners, government officials and TD Garden, WWE’s SummerSlam and related events will no longer take place in Boston. Refunds are available at the original point of purchase. We are grateful to the city of Boston for their longstanding partnership and look forward to holding WWE events at TD Garden in the future.
SummerSlam will stream live on Sunday, August 23 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and information regarding a new location for the event is forthcoming.
This almost certainly means that an audience for the event is out of the picture.
