WWE Announces the Return of the Slammy Awards, and Exciting Line-Up for December

WWE has announced an exciting lineup of events on the WWE Network for the month of December. The last month of the year is usually uneventful, but it is tremendously important in setting the tone for the following year. This December, WWE is even bringing back a fan favorite concept that was forgotten since 2015: The WWE Slammy Awards.

The Slammy Awards have been absent from WWE since 2015. This year, fans have plenty of nominees to choose from. Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns will be front runners for Superstar of the Year, as will Sasha Banks and Bayley.

The Boneyard Match, Sasha Banks and Bayley’s war inside Hell in a Cell, and Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles for the IC Title are probably in contention for Match of the Year. Other awards include Extreme Moment of the Year, Return of the Year, and Faction of the Year.

Podcasts and shows to watch out for

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has come up with a podcast of his own. If people did not already know about this, his next guest is going to ensure he blows up. McIntyre will play host to none other than Academy Award Winner Matthew McConaughey. The star of Interstellar and Dallas Buyers Club is a massive wrestling fan.

WWE Break it Down is an interesting show to watch, where superstars analyze some of the most important, talked-about matches of their careers. The December episode of the show will feature the Raw Women’s Champion Asuka. The Empress has had multiple classics during her five-year stint in WWE, and her charisma will surely make the episode a joy to watch.

Keith Lee will be the subject of WWE 24’s new episode. The former NXT Champion has made a huge impact on Raw, racking up wins against Randy Orton, Bobby Lashley, and even names like Dolph Ziggler and Andrade. Viewers will get the chance to how exactly the extraordinary Keith Lee goes through an ordinary day.

WWE Untold is another special show on the WWE Network. Superstars of the past and present gather to talk about some of wrestling’s most important moments, stories, matches and characters. This month, the focus is going to be on Goldberg’s incredible undefeated streak.

Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Broken Skulls Sessions will feature WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. The Texas Rattlesnake’s podcast is a huge hit on the WWE Network due to his incredible guest. The conversation with McIntyre will surely yield some fun, and some insightful moments.

Huge show announced for 2021

WWE announced an exciting new project for 2021, and December will be the perfect time for the first look. WWE Icons will feature biographical documentaries on some truly iconic wrestlers. These include- Yokozuna, Beth Phoenix, Lex Luger, Rob Van Dam and The British Bulldog.

Other shows on the WWE Network to not miss: WWE TLC and NXT Takeover War Games. Two of the most violent PPVs of the year will feature some incredible matches. Drew McIntyre vs AJ Styles and The Undisputed Era vs Pat McAfee’s posse will be two matches to watch out for.
