Bobby Lashley is in the midst of a pretty neat WWE Title run. He destroyed the Miz to win the championship and humbled the likes of Sheamus and his former Hurt Business teammates before decimating Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania. However, the All-Mighty has made a mighty challenge to a former WWE superstar.

Bobby Lashley caught up with former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion Batista in Florida. The Animal was in town for a shoot and caught up with one of his pals from WWE. They snapped a quick photo and Lashley uploaded it on Instagram immediately.

In the caption he wrote, “So good seeing my good friend Dave Bautista. And Yes I will give you a title shot if you ever return! Nevertheless, Congrats on all your successes brotha.”

A title match between two behemoths like Bobby Lashley and Batista would go down well at a PPV like SummerSlam.

Unfortunately, the former World Champion has declared he doesn’t intend on returning to the ring. At Justice Con, he made it very clear where he stands with a potential return.

“It’s hard to convince people that I’m actually retired. You have no idea how tough that discussion is. When professional wrestlers retire, they don’t really retire.”

“They kind of retire. But, you know, when the paycheck’s big enough or the event’s big enough, they come out of retirement. It’s just not that way with me. I exited the business in such a storybook way, I’d never go back.”

At WrestleMania Backlash, Lashley defends his WWE Championship in a triple threat match against Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman. Although the match was initially a singles match, Strowman defeated McIntyre on Raw to qualify for the title match.

With the match coming closer, the animosity between the Superstars has only risen. However, the involvement of T-Bar and Mace, former Retribution members, has bogged down this feud substantially.

On Raw, McIntyre gets a shot at keeping T-Bar and Mace away from ringside when he faces the WWE Champion in a WrestleMania rematch. Will Lashley beat Drew again, or will the former champion gain momentum before reclaiming his title at Backlash?
