

Seth Rollins had a great night at Crown Jewel 2023 after beating Drew McIntyre and retaining his WWE World Heavyweight Championship. However, there is a new threat on the horizon for Rollins as the WWE is about to close its deal with one of the hottest free agents in the business.
This 30-year-old even commented on Rollins walking out of Crown Jewel, retaining his title as champion. Fans speculate this could be Rollin’s next feud.

WWE is about to close the deal with Will Ospreay
Recently, there have been rumors that the WWE is planning on signing Will Ospreay. Osprey is the current IWGP United States Champion, with his contract expiring in February 2024. After his social media comment on Rollins’ victory, coupled with the news of him becoming a free agent, fans believe he could be Rollins’ next opponent.

Ospreay has made it clear on social media that as soon as his contract is over, he’s a free agent. He also said he was open to offers from Impact Wrestling as well. The reason fans believe he will be picking WWE, however, is due to his recent social media comments.
WWE sources have indicated to Fightful Select there is interest in Will Ospreay and "preliminary overtures" have been made.

After Rollin’s victory at Crown Jewel, the WWE official social media handle posted about it. Ospreay quote tweeted WWE’s post with the caption of two open eyes. No words were needed to get the pro wrestling fanbase into a frenzy.
Fightful Select was also quick to report on this, claiming that the WWE has an interest in hiring the soon-to-be free agent. However, talks are still in process. With a few months left on his contract with IWGP, Ospreay could be in the WWE right around Mania season in 2024. But what makes Ospreay so popular?

Ospreay gained popularity working under NJPW United Kingdom promotion partner. He was the Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion. After a recommendation from AJ Styles, he moved to New Japan Pro Wrestling. He gained a ton of followers due to the high-quality matches he put out. Since 2022, he’s been the IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion.
Getting Ospreay in the WWE could revitalize the WWE Heavyweight Championship. Rollins winning at Crown Jewel has left him open to a new feud. This could be a massive draw at WrestleMania 40.
