Bad Bunny vs Damien Priest should’ve been the main event in Puerto Rico
In the recent episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T shared his thoughts on Bunny and Priest’s match. He credited both the stars for putting together a great match, which he believes should’ve been the main event of the night.
The six-time world champion said, “You [have to] understand when the crowd is going to be at its peak, and that was when Bad Bunny was going to come out. Bad Bunny in Puerto Rico — I don’t give a damn who you got on the card, that’s the main event.”
The Puerto Rican rapper and The Judgement Day member’s match was the co-main event for the night. WWE went with Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes to close the show, which was a good match but didn’t receive reactions as the hometown stars got.
Nevertheless, the match was the main event caliber match, as it had all the elements perfectly executed. After the match, even Triple H praised the rapper backstage.
Furthermore, ‘King Booker’ praised Priest for being the perfect opponent for Bunny in their match. He credited their chemistry for the success of their match, which had great spots and moves.

Booker T praises Bunny for his wrestling skills
Since the day Bad Bunny hit the Canadian Destroyer at WrestleMania 37, fans knew he is not an ordinary celebrity wrestler. That night in 2021, Bunny set the bar for celebrity wrestler matches in WWE. Hence, the WWE Hall of Famer praised his skills for it.
King Booker said, “Bunny makes it as real as he possibly can. That right there … is something that I try to preach to these young guys about. You don’t have to be a great wrestler in order to make it feel a certain way. You don’t have to actually know how to do it if you act like you know how to do it pretty good.”
