WWE Hires Megan Morant as the New Backstage Correspondent for SmackDown

Amidst the weekly shows that WWE is producing, the company recently made the hard decision of letting go off some Superstars. However, it also hired employees for SmackDown. First, it was Pat McAfee as a commentator for the blue brand, and now, it’s Megan Morant as a backstage correspondent for SmackDown.

Previously, she worked with the BIG EAST Conference as a digital correspondent. Furthermore, she worked with the Cape Cod Baseball League as the broadcaster.

Next, she worked with the New England Patriots. Her primary role was in broadcasting.

She appeared as a host for a sports talk show, and appeared for CBS Sports Network’s pre-game shows on a weekly basis. Apart from these, she covered the team’s performance at LVI and LVII.

Megan Morant is excited for her new role

WWE released a statement confirming that they have hired her for the role. Megan Morant expressed her gratitude for the opportunity and her excitement at being able to work with a network of talented Superstars.

Currently, everyone is waiting to know who will be The Universal Champion Roman Reigns’ new opponent. Cesaro tried to strike a confrontation with Reigns but was unsuccessful. He tried to reach Reigns by defeating Jey Uso but was stopped by Seth Rollins.

It’s possible Seth Rollins might join Roman Reigns and use his help to take down Cesaro.

On the other hand, The SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bianca Belair, is soaring high with her newfound glory. However, she wants a rematch with former champion Sasha Banks to prove that her victory at WrestleMania 37 wasn’t a fluke.

As of now, WWE has booked none of the champions in a new feud.
