Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart and Daniel Bryan are two of the greatest technical wrestlers to have ever stepped foot in a pro wrestling ring. Their wrestling IQ is unlike any other, and we can consider only a few in the same category of great wrestlers. Although they never wrestled each other, only thinking about it gives one an adrenaline rush.

Bret Hart says a match with Daniel Bryan would’ve been fun

As fans were gearing up for UFC 257, Bret Hart, too, was thinking of some dream matches. ‘The Hitman’ uploaded a picture of a Fantasy Matches Play Card that had him and Bryan on it. It looks like he liked that as he wrote it would’ve been fun in the caption.

Honestly, it would not just be fun, it’d be a spectacle. Bret Hart and Daniel Bryan are masters of the pro wrestling craft. These two living legends can wrestle with an inflatable and still entertain the audience and bag a 5-star rating.

The simple thought of ‘The Hitman’ and Daniel Bryan wrestling is enough to give fans goosebumps. Their technical and submission wrestling prowess is unmatched. Hart put on some brilliant matches throughout the 90s against the likes of Stone Cold, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, and Mr. Perfect.

Bret Hart is truly is ‘The best there is, there there was, and the best there ever will be.’ He comes from the legendary Hart Dungeon and surely would’ve had a longer career if Goldberg hadn’t broken his neck. It’s no easy feat main eventing three WrestleManias!

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter presents the ‘Bryan Danielson Award’ to the Best Technical Wrestler every year. Isn’t that legendary? Having an award in your name. The best part? Bryan is still an active competitor. In fact, Bryan was already a big star on the wrestling scene before his WWE debut.

Both Bret Hart and Daniel Bryan were self-made superstars. They were often not Vince McMahon‘s first choice, but their wrestling ability and fan power made them multiple time World Champions. Hart’s injury caused him to retire in 2000, while Bryan had just started his career in 1999.

We can only make this match happen in WWE 2K now, but the ‘what if’ scenario is beautiful for a wrestling fan. Think about it, share your thoughts in the comments!
