“I think Vince always thought Savage was special. I don’t know that anybody really saw that babyface turn with Randy and him becoming that huge babyface. They always felt they had something special, obviously, with Elizabeth and everything. But Randy Savage, he was just a very unique and very special talent. So, when you get two unique special talents in the ring and they click, which Hogan and Savage did, there’s always in the back of your mind where you said ‘oh, we got something here’.”

The Macho Man and The Hulkster went on to become two of the biggest entertaining superstars that ever walked the WWE ring!

Bruce Prichard compared Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan to Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart

During the same conversation, Prichard explained that the idea was never to have two superstars who bonded well backstage to be in the ring. That doesn’t concern WWE. To the company, it’s all about whether the Superstars click with each other in the ring, and that’s exactly what Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart did.
