Going down in history as one of the best Hell in a Cell, this was The Phenom’s defining Attitude Era match. Whereas, this would go on to skyrocket his career into superstardom. Winning the WWE Championship two times and becoming the fan-favorite during his feud with The Rock started after this.

How did The Undertaker Vs Mankind come to be?

Being the conclusion of their feud, Mankind and The Undertaker would battle in a Hell in a Cell match at King of the Ring. The pair had been fighting each other since the moment Mankind stepped into WWF. Before this, they had competed in the first-ever Boiler Room match as well as the first-ever Buried Alive match.

But this match would cement both of these as legends in the history of professional wrestling. After the match, Foley would reveal that he rehearsed the first spot from atop the cage. But the second one was a botch as The Undertaker gave a Chokeslam to Mankind through the ceiling gate right down to the ring, 13 feet below.
