Stone Cold Steve Austin is one of the most popular WWE Superstars of all time. He is a multi-time WWE Champion, a 3-time Royal Rumble Match winner, and has achieved a different level of superstardom. Another incredibly famous wrestler was ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper who was in his prime during the 1980s. Piper sadly passed away in 2015, but the legend left quite a mark on the wrestling industry. However, Steve Austin and Roddy had an ugly bout in early 2015.
Both WWE legends had their own podcasts at PodcastOne, each of which was quite successful. However, in April 2015, Piper had a guest on his podcast that imitated Austin in an unflattering way. Austin took offense to it and the story goes that he allegedly asked PodcastOne to remove that episode of Piper’s show. Piper later accused Austin of getting him fired from PodcastOne while Austin vehemently denied the same. It was one wrestler’s word against the other, but now WWE legend Bruce Prichard has given his take on the ordeal.

Bruce recently shared his thoughts on his podcast “Something To Wrestle with Bruce Prichard” regarding the incident. Prichard said that he was unsure of what exactly happened at PodcastOne but apparently Piper had gone back and forth with his word. Prichard said.
“With the PodcastOne situation with Steve Austin and all that, I heard both stories from Roddy. I heard you know that Roddy had quit. I heard that Roddy was fired, or not fired, actually left. But, I heard that Steve was involved, I heard Steve wasn’t involved. So only those guys know the truth.”

However, Prichard did end up suspecting if Piper had some other motive behind changing his word. Steve Austin has always maintained that Roddy quit PodcastOne of his own volition.
Stone Cold Steve Austin currently has a WWE Originals show.
