WWE Legend Explains How Triple H and WWE Made Cody Rhodes Look Like a ‘F***ing Sap’ on National Television Before His Friends and Family

This year’s WrestleMania has definitely disheartened all Cody Rhodes’ fans after they saw their star losing the main event at The Shows of the Shows. However, they still hoped for a better Monday Night RAW after Mania, but things turned far worse there. This then raised several questions about Triple H’s treatment of Rhodes. And after what happened with the star two nights in a row, a WWE legend also seems disturbed. 

There’s no denying the fact that it frustrated fans how The American Nightmare’s story turned around since WrestleMania 39. Moreover, when Brock Lesnar enforced a career-ending attack on Rhodes, fans were disheartened. Along with the fans, one of the greatest wrestling managers, Jim Cornette, felt the same.

Jim Cornette’s opinion on the recent development of The American Nightmare’s storyline

Speaking on his own podcast, namely Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru, the 61-year-old shed light on the entire incident that happened on RAW with Rhodes and whether the next chapter of this storyline has any merits, in his opinion or not. 

In response to it, Cornette mentioned the incorrect timing of executing all this. He believes, whatever, The Game and WWE planned for Cody Rhodes didn’t seem to work in his favor. But the opposite might have already happened. 

As he said, “It’s nice, he got left laying two nights in a row and he looks kind of like a f**king sap. I’m not sure, this is all going to come together for Cody’s benefit but that’s just me.”

No one knows what’s going on in the mind of the chief content officer of WWE when it comes to Rhodes. Initially, ‘The American Nightmare’ appeared unbeatable and now his image has transformed overnight.

In Cornette’s words, Rhodes is looking weak after getting heavily beaten on national television and even in front of his family and friends.

On The Grandest Stage of Them All, Rhodes brought her beloved wife, daughter, and mother to witness one of the significant days of life. But his half-brother, Dustin Rhodes, wasn’t seen anywhere. However, when The Beast Incarnate betrayed The American Nightmare, the latter’s brother couldn’t resist but react to it.

Taking to Twitter, Dustin Rhodes expressed his anger through two emojis, one being the expression of extreme contempt and hate. This also reminded fans of Lesnar’s flipping the bird after the attack, which some speculated was Triple H’s reply to Rhodes and Jon Moxley’s infamous Twitter post.
