WWE Legend Finally Beats Life-Threatening Illness

Recently, there have been lots of concerns regarding the health of WWE legends like Jim Ross and Hulk Hogan. But finally, Jim Ross made the announcement that the entire professional wrestling world had been waiting for. After undergoing several radiation treatments, Good ol’ JR is finally cancer-free.

Finally, Jim Ross will be back after dealing with skin cancer for the second time. Earlier in 2016, he underwent a surgery after getting diagnosed with the disease. Again, in 2018, he needed a follow-up surgery to remove the skin cancer from his shoulders.

JR had been struggling with an issue on his leg for more than a year. And having done a CT scan, Jim Ross announced he got diagnosed with skin cancer in October 2021.

After undergoing 22 successful radiation treatments, JR announced on Twitter that he is cancer-free and will be back during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. And indeed, Jim Ross returned to AEW Dynamite: New Year’s Smash and received a thunderous reception from the fans.

Not only the AEW fans, but the entire professional wrestling world is delighted to have one of the greatest professional wrestling commentators back again.

Jim Ross is a star all around the world

Jim Ross will forever be a WWE legend. But apart from WWE, he had worked in various other places all around the world.

The WWE Hall of Famer did commentary for WWE, WCW, NJPW, and many more. Currently, he is working in AEW, with whom he signed a three-year deal back in April 2019.

Everyone appreciates Jim Ross’s contributions to the professional wrestling world. Ross got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007 and even got inducted into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame in 1999.

Labeled as the voice of WWE, Ross became a major part of WWE, particularly during the Attitude Era in WWE. Apart from the professional wrestling world, Ross also did commentary in MMA.
