Bill Goldberg has given the WWE Universe several notable moments when he was working with the company during his prime. As time passed, younger talent started coming in, and Goldberg’s fan base drifted towards other Superstars.

The veteran Superstar still has fans, but a significant number of them haven’t shown interest in having him back inside the ring. However, Goldberg believes he doesn’t need to be in his prime to give the audience an entertaining performance. He can definitely provide interesting matches at his current age.

“Hey, let’s be perfectly honest—a different era of Goldberg would match up against anybody. The question is—could this era of Goldberg match up with anyone still and have it be interesting? I think the answer is absolutely, yes.”

Undoubtedly, Goldberg can perform in the ring even today. However, the in-ring violence will definitely reduce.

Bill Goldberg reveals his pick from the roster

According to Goldberg, if he could pick a Superstar from the roster to have a feud with, it would be Big E. Not only is Big E a good option for an interesting match but also someone with whom Goldberg shares a special memory.

“Big E could bring stuff out of me that I’d want to do just to make Big E proud of me, right? So the story goes with Big E and I, that the only match I was ever late for, or I ever missed in WCW, was a match that I called in and told them I couldn’t catch the plane because I was at a signing and I had to stay until everyone was taken care of.”

“Big E was one of the kids I stayed for, OK? So, I will never forget his face, I’ll never forget that day. And the fact that I made a positive impression on somebody like that, that’s been so successful at what they do, it’s an honor and a privilege for me. So, getting in the ring with him would be a different situation, but it’d be really cool in its own way.”

In fact, Big E had revealed that Goldberg and he could have potentially excellent matches if WWE booked them.

There’s no confirmation on whether WWE will move forward with this in the future or not. However, a match between the Superstars will be an interesting watch!
