WWE Legend John Cena Details What It’s Like Working With Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson

Even a distant WWE fan would know how much John Cena and Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson hate each other’s guts whenever they share the same ring. However, the two megastars are very close friends in real life and always support each other.

In a recent interview with Esquire, John Cena was there to promote his film “Vacation Friends”. There he was asked about working with ‘The Great One’.

John Cena heaps praise for The Rock

Whenever these two titans collide the WWE Universe is always in for a treat from back and forth verbal banter to lethal strikes in the ring. However, Cena said it is relatively easy to work with The Rock inside the ring.

He said that Dwayne is so electrifying that sometimes it gets difficult to reach his mindset while wrestling him. It goes without saying that the Rock was one of the greatest of all time. But when Cena compliments your work, you know you’re on a different level.

“That’s easy. He’s really good. When you are paired with a gifted performer, you have to do your absolute best. The Rock is so electrifying and so good at what he does that when you are in his universe; you need to be at his level.” Cena said.

The two legends collided at WrestleMania two years in a row. The first time these two wrestlers squared off was at WrestleMania 28, where The Rock got the best of John Cena.

The two would face each other at WrestleMania 29 for a rematch. Only this time, The Rock was the WWE Champion and Cena was the challenger.

Cena eventually outperformed ‘The Great One’ and won his 13th World Championship.
