WWE Legend Kurt Angle Shares How Often He Catches Up With Brock Lesnar

Kurt Angle shared a unique connection with a wrestler who was never the talker of the group – Brock Lesnar. WWE often put the two of them together in multiple hilarious backstage segments which would entertain the crowd.

However, it was not just those backstage segments. Kurt and Brock shared the same chemistry inside the ring and off-screen as well.

Although Brock became a go-to person for Angle, he soon planned to leave WWE and head to UFC and Japan to explore his career in the world of combat sports.

Speaking on his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, Angle admitted that after Lesnar left, it was difficult to get a hold of Lesnar because he is not a people person.

“It’s always been ‘see you when I see you’ because Brock isn’t that much of a social butterfly,” Angle chuckled. “Calling him and saying ‘How are you? What’s going on with your life…, how’s your family?’. Brock’s not really into that stuff. If you call him, you’re most likely gonna get an answering machine.”

However, this match is not just famous because of classic back and forth but it is also famous because Brock suffered a devastating concussion halfway through the match

Brock attempted a shooting star press from the top rope but couldn’t turn his body in mid-air, causing him to collide with Angle who was lying on the mat. This gave him a concussion and almost broke his neck.

Nonetheless, being a ‘beast’ Lesnar got up and continued to fight and eventually pinned Angle.
