WWE Legend and Hall of Famer Lita made her in-ring return at the Royal Rumble 2022. She appeared for the first time since 2018. Lita was a part of the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match in 2018.

The WWE Icon is now about to have her first singles match in the company since Survivor Series 2006. Amy Dumas, aka Lita, will go head to head with the Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch at Elimination Chamber.

The Machete Girl, Lita, appeared on last week’s edition of Monday Night Raw. WWE plans to put Lita against Becky Lynch and it was a last-minute decision. The Hall of Famer herself was not aware of the plans until a day before the title match was made for Elimination Chamber.

Lita borrowed clothes from Renee Young

Ahead of her match, Lita sat down with Ring The Belle and mentioned that after St. Louis, she was supposed to go home. However, WWE’s decision was on short notice, and Lita noted she had to reach out to a friend for her appearance on Raw. During the interview, she mentioned she borrowed clothes from AEW Star Jon Moxley’s wife, Renee Paquette.

She revealed, “Renee Young [Paquette] lives in Cincinnati. These [clothes from WWE Raw after Royal Rumble] are her clothes because that is how little time I had to prepare. They [WWE] are like, ‘Can you come?’ So yeah, after St. Louis, I was supposed to go home. And on Sunday, I drove to Cincinnati and swung by Renee’s house, and I’m like, ‘Girl, what can I wear?'”

Lita added that John Laurinaitis asked her if she wanted to fight Big Time Becky Lynch, which surprised her at first. However, challenger Lita did not waste any time responding and accepted the offer by WWE. 

WWE Hall of Famer Lita is ready to make a statement in Saudi Arabia

The WWE legend has made multiple fashion statements during her wrestling career. She explained how WWE has influenced what she wears as she makes occasional appearances for the company. Additionally, Lita has been outspoken about performing in Saudi Arabia at Elimination Chamber.

“I was outspoken on the early relationships between WWE and Saudi Arabia. They say they want women to wrestle over there; I don’t know if I believe it,” Lita added. The Hall of Famer Lita wants to make a strong statement in Saudi Arabia that honors women and highlights that any woman can be powerful.

Lita will face Becky Lynch at Elimination Chamber for the Raw Women’s Championship. She has stated in the interview that this match is like a true generation clash match.
