WWE Legend Points Out the Major Difference Between Him and Shane McMahon Despite Both Performing Similar Spots Against The Undertaker: “I Gave Him a Big Hug”

Shane McMahon is a highly recognized and prominent personality in the wrestling industry. However, last year, he departed from the wrestling promotion following his involvement in producing one of the most poorly received Royal Rumble events in its history. Although at WrestleMania 39, he made his comeback against The Miz but was immediately injured as he tore his quad. Still, just weeks later he was found training to get back in shape alongside a NFL legend.

Shane McMahon is one of the most fearless WWE superstars of all time. His career is filled with several vivid memories of him doing insane spots, or jumping from sky-high locations. And, often these stunts of his have brought him direct comparison to another WWE legend, Mick Foley.

Mick Foley, aka Mankind, is one of the greatest hardcore wrestlers of all time. One of the highlights of his career is his infamous Hell in a Cell match against The Undertaker in 1998, where he took several inhuman bumps, even falling off the top of the cell.

Recently during Foley’s podcast, a fan made a comparison between him and McMahon, to which he subtly pointed out the differences, and claimed how different they are.

What differences did Mick Foley point out between him and Shane McMahon?

Speaking on his podcast, Mick Foley pointed out that the major difference between him and McMahon is that, Shane McMahon is fearless. Both of them performed a similar spot against The Undertaker where they fell off the top cell to the announcers’ table.

However, Foley claimed that while he was scared to death while performing the stunt, McMahon is fearless. He said, “Shane is fearless. Right? Now I was scared to death. Which, you could say encourages you working through fear. I’m not sure Shane has any fear. I don’t know if he fears anything. “

The 57-year-old also claimed that he made sure he was the first person Shane McMahon saw backstage after performing that death-defying spot at WrestleMania 32.

Shane McMahon attempted a dive off the top of the cell on The Undertaker lying on the announce table, only for ‘Phenom’ to move away at the last second and McMahon crashing through the desk.

Foley said that he stood in the gorilla position and hugged McMahon as soon as he entered backstage after the match.

Foley said, “Well, yeah I made sure that I was the first person Shane saw when he walked through gorilla. So, when he would have seen probably 10-12 people in gorilla and I was literally standing on the other side of the curtain. So, I was the first person that he saw, and I gave him a big hug. And I believe that meant something to him.”

Fans saw Shane McMahon last at WrestleMania 39 where he made his comeback and immediately got injured. However, it might not be the last time fans see Shane McMahon in WWE.
