Jey Uso finally did something that many WWE superstars failed to do for a long time. At Money in the Bank, he pinned Roman Reigns and secured the victory for his team. It was after almost three and a half years when someone put the 38-year-old modern-day phenomenon’s shoulders on the mat and the referee counted 1…2…3.

Jey beating Reigns was a historic moment and now many believe that this feud is going to continue leading to the two superstars battling it out inside the ring in a singles match. However, when asked who would come out victorious from the singles match, then Mark Henry stated it would be ‘The Tribal Chief’.

On the Busted Open podcast, the 52-year-old legend revealed why he feels Jey will not be successful in beating Reigns in a singles match. He believes a guy can only beat Reigns if he has beaten Brock Lesnar. Reigns has beaten Lesnar in the past, so he uses ‘The Beast’ as a test to predict whether a wrestler has the potential to beat Reigns.

He said, “And I am saying that because I always do the Brock Lesnar test. Can this guy beat Brock Lesnar, one-on-one? Roman [Reigns] did. Can the other guy? Cody [Rhodes] did. That’s the litmus test. If you can run into the monster and survive, that’s who should be in it.”

“Otherwise, you telling a story that’s based off… umm feelings. Feelings are good in wrestling. You need feelings. You need to feel for wrestling. But you also gotta have concrete evidence that you deserve to be in those spots and you earned it,” he added.

Well, Henry may be right because if history is any indication, then there is a chance that Jey Uso may again fail to defeat his cousin.

Jey and Reigns went to a battle against each other in 2020 Hell in a Cell. It was an ‘I quit match’ that saw Reigns coming out victorious. Reigns aimed to assert his authority as the leader of the Anoa’i family, and wanted to become ‘The Tribal Chief’. But the only obstacle in his path was Jey Uso.

So, as a punishment for challenging his authority, he unleashed one hell of a beating on Jey. He even used Jimmy Uso to wear Jey down and his tactic worked. Seeing Jimmy struggle for breath as Reigns held him in a guillotine submission maneuver forced Jey to say, I quit and lose the match.
