Ric Flair has created and broken many records throughout his 40-year career. However, the most prestigious achievement of ‘The Nature Boy’ is his impressive 16-world title reigns.

Flair has won 16 world titles throughout his career, more than any other superstar. He and John Cena hold the record for the most singles world titles held by a WWE superstar.

Recently, Flair appeared on the NWA 73 PPV to deliver an emotional promo. The legend looked back at his decades within the promotion and discussed how it uplifted him as a pro wrestler. He also thanked the people who left a mark on his life and career.

While doing so, Flair gave out an interesting piece of information. The icon used to think Randy Orton would eventually surpass his record for most world titles, but not anymore.

“I wanted Randy [Orton] to break my record until The Queen [Charlotte] went 12. All Hail the Queen,” Flair said. Charlotte is the current WWE Raw Women’s Champion in her record sixth reign.

Randy Orton currently has 14 title reigns lying right behind John Cena and Flair. On the other hand, Charlotte has 12 titles to her name (14 but WWE does not recognize NXT Women’s title as a World title anymore).

Interestingly, both are on the RAW roster and hold a title. Orton, as the one-half of RK-Bro, holds the RAW Tag Team title. Charlotte, as we mentioned earlier, is the RAW Women’s champion.

However, the storyline got scrapped because of Evans’ pregnancy. After months of inactivity, WWE released Flair on August 3. Later on, Flair revealed it was his decision to leave the company.

Flair said his and WWE’s current vision do not align, but he bears no ill will towards the company. This NWA appearance was his first public address since his departure from WWE, but he made a surprise appearance at AAA TripleMania. He accompanied Andrade to the ring for his title match against Kenny Omega.
