The Rock vs Mick Foley at Royal Rumble 1999 is historic
The two legends started a rivalry in 1998 when The Rock was named the new corporate champion after Vince McMahon messed with Mick Foley. However, Foley would capture the WWE Title in January 1999.
After multiple attempts, The Rock finally convinced Foley for a rematch and this time, it was an “I Quit” match. Now, the buildup to the match was great. However, the match itself had to be greater.

Both of them ensured an entertaining match like never seen before. Prior to the match, Foley cut a promo where he screamed “I Quit” to imitate what The Great One would say.
Coming to the match, it was extremely intense. Foley put up one hell of a performance, which was evidence of why he’s a legend. He went through cables, was handcuffed, and the Rock thrashed him with 11 chair shots. However, Foley wasn’t ready to quit. He tried to get up, but passed out. At this moment, the arena sound system burst out with Foley yelling “I Quit”.
