The hosts asked Austin about his thoughts on Randy Orton, and he gave a very gratifying response.
“I look at what Randy Orton is doing right now. He’s putting out the best work of his career. Specifically, from a character standpoint and a promo standpoint. The guy is completely on fire and he’s really riveting to watch.”
Austin even praised Orton’s Rumble performance and believed that the Viper could break his Rumble record.
“His in-ring work has always been spectacular. He’s kinda been the standard, so the way he’s operating right now is amazing. And as I watched the Royal Rumble, I was thinking, ‘hey man, is this going to be the guy that finally ties me with three Royal Rumble wins.”

It must’ve thrilled Austin when Edge hauled Orton out of the ring, despite eating an RKO out of nowhere. Although Orton did not win this time, Austin backed him to break his record in the future.
“I know he’s got many good years left in him. Maybe he’ll end up winning that third one, but we’ll see as far as the Broken Skull Sessions go, but obviously a guy I’s love to talk with.”

The Broken Skull Sessions are probably the best part of the WWE Network. Stone Cold Steve Austin has really taken the podcast and transformed it into an hour of pure gold. From Dave Meltzer to John Cena and even Bayley, every guest on the show is special, and Stone Cold Steve Austin gets them to talk about some superb topics.

One person who hasn’t appeared on his podcast is The Rock. Dwayne Johnson was Austin’s archrival in WWE, and this rivalry carried both Superstars into the annals of WWE history.
An episode with The Rock as a guest would be stellar. Another wrestler who shared the ring with Austin is fellow podcast host Booker T, who would also make a phenomenal guest.

From the current crop of WWE Superstars, The Miz would be a joy to watch on the Broken Skull Sessions. NXT’s Adam Cole could compare his rise in WWE to Austin’s rise in the WWF.
Sasha Banks could discuss her dreams and goals with the Texas Rattlesnake, and of course, a podcast with CM Punk and Steve Austin would be absolute gold.
