It is secret to none that Shaq has an interest in pro wrestling. The legendary basketball player had interactions with some top WWE stars like Triple H and Hulk Hogan.

Triple H might be one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. But next to Shaquille O’Neal in the picture, ‘The Game‘ looked like a tiny fan. This is because of Shaq’s height. Shaq’s height is listed as 7 ft 1 inches tall whereas Triple H’s billed height is 6ft 4 inches.

His height and his top quality basketball skills have made Shaquille O’Neal one of the best basketball players of all time.

But just like Triple H, the NBA legend also stepped inside the squared circle. Shaq competed in matches across different pro wrestling promotions and even came out victorious on one occasion.

A look at the professional wrestling career of Shaquille O’Neal

Shaq has competed in two pro wrestling matches so far. He first competed in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royale at WrestleMania 32 in 2016. During the match, he even made one elimination but failed to win in the end.

Shaq even had a confrontation with The Big Show. There were even reports of him going up against the former WWE superstar in a singles match. But that fight never took place.

Later in 2021, Shaq appeared in AEW. He teamed up with Jade Cargill to take on Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet during an episode of AEW Dynamite. The duo of Cargill and Shaq came out victorious on that night.

Following his match in AEW, he added his name to the list of individuals who had competed in matches in both WWE and AEW. There are very few individuals who had done so, and Shaq is one of them.

AEW and WWE are not the only two pro wrestling promotions where Shaquille O’Neal appeared. The NBA legend also appeared in Impact Wrestling and WCW. Thus, it will not be wrong if we say that Shaquille O’Neal is not any stranger to pro wrestling fans.
