WWE Official Wants to Make Ronda Rousey Regret for Past Comments

Ronda Rousey is out of action for quite some time. Recently, there have been rumors of Ronda returning to WWE. Previously, Ronda had a short but very impactful career in WWE. She even became the Raw Women’s Champion and became the first woman, along with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, to headline WrestleMania.

But Rousey also got into some heated arguments with the WWE superstar, Sonya Deville. The ‘Baddest Woman on the Plant’ had a little Twitter beef with Sonya Deville in 2019. Ronda fired shots at Sonya and

criticized her MMA background, after the latter teased her following Rousey’s loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193.

Recently in an interview with talkSPORT, Sonya Deville commented on her working relationship with Ronda following the Twitter beef. Further, she also revealed she would like to face Ronda if she returns to WWE and make her regret for calling her an MMA hobbyist. She said, “It was good [our relationship]. We worked together a bit on Total Divas, it was fine. Ronda is definitely someone I would like to fight if she comes back around. Make her regret calling me an MMA hobbyist. Which is ironic because me transitioning from MMA to wrestling, and she did, wouldn’t that make her a hobbyist?”

Will Ronda Rousey return to WWE to face Sonya Deville?

Though we have heard nothing from the ‘Baddest Woman on the Plant’, Ronda’s good friend, Shayna Baszler, talked about the possibility of Ronda Rousey returning to WWE. Earlier it was reported that Ronda left WWE because she wanted to spend more time with her family. Recently in an interview with WWE on BT Sport, Shayna said, “I think she’ll come back. If I know Ronda, she’s coming back.”

Shayna and Ronda share a special bond and they have known each other even before Ronda’s debut in WWE. Rousey trained Shayna in Season 19 of The Ultimate Fighter. So hearing that from one of Ronda’s friends is really exciting for the WWE Universe.

We know that Ronda Rousey never backs out from a challenge. After hearing that Sonya wants to make her regret for calling Sonya an MMA hobbyist, Rousey might return to WWE to challenge Sonya Deville. Though there has been no confirmation about Ronda’s WWE return, this match will always remain a possibility if Rousey returns to WWE.
