From last year, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns started to claim himself as the “Tribal Chief.” Since then, fans have wanted to see WWE icon and Reigns’ cousin Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson come back to WWE and teach Reigns a lesson.

As WWE has not confirmed or denied anything, the rumors of The Rock’s return have been coming up frequently since last year. Now that, fellow WWE icon and Hollywood Superstar, John Cena has come back to WWE, ‘The Great One‘ also might not be so far behind.

Various reports stated that WWE will be arranging a showdown between both the Samoan athletes next year at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas. However, according to Andrew Zarian, the rivalry will begin from this year’s Survivor Series.

Zarian noted on his Mat Men Podcast the, The Rock is expected to return at Survivor Series 2021 in November at Barclays Center. Then, he will take a similar route to Cena as he will be appearing on both RAW and SmackDown to build up the match.

On the other hand, USA Network officials want him to appear on the post-Survivor Series edition of RAW. We will have to see whether the most electrifying superstar wrestles at SS or just appears to confront Reigns.

Interestingly, it would have a historical significance as well. 25 years ago, The Rock made his in-ring debut at Survivor Series in Madison Square Garden and secured the win for his team.
