Unfortunately, WWE has announced nothing about the King of the Ring tournament. WWE held the last version of King of the Ring in 2019. At that event, Baron Corbin secured the title, and his infamous King Corbin gimmick took over. It’s possible the company may have another in 2021 or 2022 depending on its schedule.

What is the King/Queen of the Ring tournament?
In this format, the Superstars are split into two groups. Usually it’s a group of eight Superstars divided into two groups. They’re put against one another in singles matches, and the matches progress as elimination rounds.
After the first round, four Superstars get eliminated. Following this is the semi finals and then the two Superstars who reach the finals wrestle for the crown.

It’s not surprising the company is trying to bring back all types of events that stopped or never took place. The past year was difficult for the company, especially with the fans not present for the live events. Now that the company has restarted their live events, it wants to reach out to as much of the WWE Universe as possible.
As of now, WWE hasn’t officially made any announcement about the same.
