WWE NXT is not getting rid of the injury curse anytime soon. Multiple main-eventers got injured in the past month, and now another injury strikes again.

Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong were set to face the Tag Team Champions Tyler Breeze and Fandango on NXT this week. However, that match never took place. Both Fish and Strong were attacked by a returning Pat McAfee backstage.

After the event, Fish and Strong’s medical conditions were revealed. As reported by NXT Injury Reports, Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong were evaluated and declared “not clear.” Both of them suffered multiple injuries and are “week to week.” They will miss two weeks of in-ring action, including next week’s NXT Halloween Havoc.

WWE NXT saw a massive title change

Ahead of their match, Fish and Roderick were both laid out by a mystery attacker. The only member left of the Undisputed Era, Kyle O’Reilly, too, refused to wrestle on behalf of either and chose Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch to face the NXT tag team champions instead.

Fandango and Tyler Breeze were having a tough time with Lorcan and Burch. However, Prince Pretty kicked Burch to have an opening for themselves.

Suddenly, someone attacked Fandango from behind, and as the referee was trying to find the attacker, Burch caught Breeze with a low blow uppercut to set up the win.

As the winners got their belt, the mystery man held up the new NXT tag team champions’ hands. The mystery man turned out to be a returning Pat McAfee. However, we don’t know if McAfee attacked the original contenders backstage.

Hopefully, Strong and Fish will both be cleared soon. There were rumors about an Undisputed Era reunion with Adam Cole. WWE will soon update us all on the injury status if something major happens.
