WWE Reportedly Planning a WrestleMania-Style Experience for Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia

WWE’s upcoming Premium Live Event, Crown Jewel is on the horizon. The extravaganza which has exciting matches lined up has the fans buzzing. The PLE is a part of the partnership between the promotion and Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sports in a bid to reform the country’s many social and economic plans.

Now, according to an insider report, the city of Riyadh which will be the host city will be having a major makeover. And the makeover will be something that fans might have never seen before.

According to the WWE insider, BWE, there is a project going on in the city ahead of the PLE. It will be an indoor city specially dedicated for the event. The city will be designed especially for the audience where they will get to experience a lot of things. This includes various hubs based on various different themes. The themes might be based on different iconic eras of the promotion along with different stars from the present and from the past.

Along with that, there will be access to pre and post-event conferences, in-ring and entrance experience, and a huge WWE-themed gift shop. The venue for the event will be Mohammed Abdo Arena. The arena which lies at the heart of the city has a total seating capacity of around 13,000 people. The venue which is pre-booked most of the time is known for its ‘adaptable’ design. The arena has hosted many concerts with this being their first pro wrestling event.

Since its inception, WrestleMania has been considered as the promotion’s biggest event. But with this level of attention to Crown Jewel, could this mean that WWE is treating Crown Jewel as a WrestleMania-level event?

Crown Jewel might be the new WrestleMania

Two of the biggest clashes will be happening at Crown Jewel. Rising star LA Knight will be facing off against the biggest star of WWE currently, Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. Apart from that Seth Rollins will be once again defending his title from none other the Drew McIntyre. Also, fans will witness a Fatal 5-way match in the women’s division. The match will have Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler trying to get their hands on Rhea Ripley’s WWE Women’s World Championship title

 Along with that, after being challenged by Logan Paul, Rey Mysterio will be giving The Maverick a shot at his WWE United States Championship title. Also, there are reports that Solo Sikoa will face off against John Cena at the Crown Jewel to settle a score from the past.

With these many major announcements, fans could not help but notice that the stage is getting grander and grander for the Crown Jewel, almost at par with WrestleMania.
