There is a long and prosperous history of WWE and Olympic Gold medalists. Over the years, WWE has managed to sign top Olympic participants such as Kurt Angle, Ronda Rousey, just to name a few.
Most recently, Gable Steveson made history at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by winning the Gold medal in Men?s freestyle 125 kg category. He also expressed his interest in joining WWE.

Gable would be an incredible asset to the company, given his amazing ability. WWE is in need of serious wrestling talent, given its recent release of superstars.
An athlete like Gable could be the coming of the next Kurt Angle. Kurt was so over with the fan with his in ring and promo ability, that he landed a spot on the Hall of Fame.
SmackDown commentator, Pat McAfee, also congratulated Gable on his impressive win.

Tamyra Mensah-Stock also wants to join WWE
Another gold medalist who could join WWE is the first American Black woman to win gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Tamyra Mensah-Stock. In a recent interview, she revealed that she is eager to join the company following her Olympic win.
A female equvilent to a Kurt Angle or a Chad Gable in Pro Wrestling? I’d be down to see that. Whether it be WWE, AEW or anywhere else, I’d be down for this. She also seems very down to earth as well which helps.
