Friday nights gaining the views

The latest ratings of WWE Smackdown are a phenomenal result for the brand as this show has the best numbers seen since the December 25, 2020 episode (3.303 million viewers). A 22% increase has occurred from the previous Smackdown episode to this one. This drastic increase in viewers may well have happened because the show featured the much-awaited face-off between Reigns and Cena. There is also an increase in viewers in the 18-49 demographic as the show garnered about 0.6 ratings.

These numbers show the fans prefer SmackDown over Raw. The presence of superstars such as John Cena, Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, Sasha Banks, Edge, and more can also be considered a factor for the exponential rise in viewers for Smackdown. Fans can expect something similar or more viewers for the next episode of Smackdown, as it will be the last episode of the blue brand before heading to WWE SummerSlam.
