WWE Star Cody Rhodes Goes Under the Knife, Wife Brandi Provides Update

Cody Rhodes had a match of his career at Hell In A Cell Premium Live Event against Seth Rollins. Even after suffering from a torn pec, ‘The American Nightmare’ entered the steel structure and had a 20-minute plus match as planned.
After the match, when the event went off air, Rhodes explained to the crowd that this was his decision to have the match and nobody forced him. He posted a tweet later saying. “For the love of the game.”

We expect Rhodes to be out of action for about 6-7 months, as torn pec recovery is a slow process.

Cody Rhodes suffered a torn pec in his brawl with Seth Rollins a week prior to Hell in a Cell’s episode of RAW. Moreover, later WWE announced his pec was completely torn off the bone while he was working out for his match.
He had the match at Hell in a Cell and the next day on RAW announced he will have surgery on Thursday and move to the rehabilitation. Recently, Brandi Rhodes shared a post-surgery update on her Twitter account.

As described by Brandi Rhodes, his injury had become more serious after the match. BT Sport later shared a Cody Rhodes’ left hand. The injury had spread all over his hand. The caption said, “Oh my stars 😳 📸 @CodyRhodes.”

As of now, Rhodes will move to the rehabilitation after the successful surgery of his injury. As per the nature of the injury, Rhodes will take at least six months to recover before returning to in-ring action.

In 2007, John Cena, while having a match against Mr. Kennedy, attempted a hip toss when his pectoral muscle tore. Nevertheless, he completed the match and also received an RKO from Randy Orton on top of the table.

He was forced to relinquish his WWE Title and was announced to be out of action for 6-7 months. However, within four months Cena returned to Royal Rumble with a huge pop and made it the most memorable return. He was lifting heavy men easily as if he had never torn his pec.

After watching ‘The Prodigal Son’ having a 20-minute plus match with an enormous bruise on his body, we can assume Rhodes would not sit quietly. He is most likely to make sure to return quickly. If he pulls a page out of Cena’s book and starts showing early success in rehabilitation, we can witness one greater moment from ‘The American Nightmare’.
